Focus and Scope
Al-Wadh’iyyah: Journal of Sharia Law and Legal Studies is a scholarly journal that publishes research findings, conceptual studies, and critical reviews in the fields of Islamic Sharia Law and Islamic Family Law, from both normative-theological and contextual-sociological perspectives. This journal aims to serve as an academic medium that promotes the development of dynamic, solution-oriented, and socially relevant Islamic legal thought in response to the challenges of modern society.
The scope of this journal includes, but is not limited to:

• Usul al-fiqh and legal reasoning methodology (istinbath al-hukm)

This journal welcomes articles from multidisciplinary approaches—including law, sociology, anthropology, as well as textual and historical studies—to enrich the body of knowledge in Islamic legal scholarship.
